In a statement which was reposted on Minister of Transport\nAnthony Loke\u2019s Facebook, the airline said there have been multiple false ads related\nto MAB that have been spread by \u201cunscrupulous parties with the intention of\nfraud and theft\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MAB also described the\nsuperimposed images to be \u201cdisrespectful\u201d to MAB and are done \u201cin bad taste\u201d.\nThe picture accompanying the Facebook post had the words \u201cPalsu\u201d and \u201cFake\u201d\nstamped on it in red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to\nclarify that Malaysia Airlines has nothing to do with these fake ads, and that\nour campaigns are only displayed on our official platforms, mainstream\nadvertising channels and website,\u201d the statement read. The airline also urged\nthe public to exercise caution when coming across controversial ads or\nmessages, especially if they originate from social media or messaging groups.\nA+M has reached out to MAB for additional comment on how consumers can identify\nreal MAB ads from fake ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also said that the\nfake advertisements have been spread by \u201cunscrupulous parties with the\nintention of fraud and theft\u201d and that its campaigns are only displayed on its\nofficial platforms, mainstream advertising channels and website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MAB is not the only\nbrand to have been a target of fake ads. Last year, AirAsia and AirAsia X\nwarned the public against hoax advertisements by uncertified travel agents on\ntheir social media platforms. Its group CEO Tony Fernandes also got embroiled\nin false advertising in 2016, resulting in the airline issuing a statement to\nstress that Fernandes did not endorse advertisements on get-rich-quick schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile earlier this\nmonth, PROTON also warned consumers about a fake invitation card regarding the\nofficial launch of the PROTON X70 that is circulating on social media..
