KUALA LUMPUR, June 13:

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is partnering  Tourism Australia to offer fares starting at RM999 to six Australian cities, namely, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin.

In a joint statement today, MAS said for bookings made between June 14-July 7, 2014, for immediate travel till March 31, 2015, passengers stand to enjoy an up to 50% off the current all-inclusive fares on both economy and business classes.

Regional senior vice president for Malaysia Datuk Muzammil Mohamad said the airline is committed to providing great travel deals, while offering premium hospitality along with the five-star service experience onboard at no additional or hidden costs.

“Our all-in-fare includes generous checked in baggage allowance and meals, including chef-on-call for business class passengers.”

MAS flies 72 times weekly to six cities across Australia. It flies 21 times a week to Sydney and Melbourne, seven times to Brisbane and Adelaide, 12 times to Perth and four times to Darwin.

Tourism Australia’s regional general manager for South, Southeast Asia & The Gulf Karyn Kent said Malaysian travellers should take this opportunity to enjoy a self-drive holiday in Australia.

“We are excited to be working with MAS once again as Malaysia continues to be a good market for us.

“We have seen growth of 19.4% in Malaysian arrivals for the year ending April 2014, and are happy to work with valued airline partners such as MAS to further boost arrivals.”
