Effective on 01 April, 2014  Malaysians planning to apply for visas to India will have to go in person to the India Visa Application Centre (IVAC) at Kuala Lumpur

The Indian government has introduced the biometric registration system for all nationals and for all categories of Indian visas.

“Malaysians applying for all categories of Indian visas will have to submit their applications at the IVAC and must be made in person but not through any third parties such as travel agents.

The directive was issued by the Indian High Commission as part of its government’s efforts to secure the identity of visa applicants.
